Shelly Leitheiser St. Cloud, Minnesota
Shelly works primarily in acrylics and watercolor and also occasionally does oil paintings. Her work includes representational, expressionistic, and abstract art. She also specializes in illustrative scenes that include figures and children. Shelly loves experimenting with various mediums and combining them.
She has won a few awards for her art work and has been accepted in many juried shows over the last 20 years. She has also been selected for specialized work such as logo design, illustration, print art, and book cover work. She is currently represented in the Little Falls GRAA gallery (2012) and has current solo shows at Falcon Bank, St. Cloud, and the Government Center in Little Falls. (November-December 2012).
Shelly’s philosophy of her art work is to tell a story or convey an idea, and much of her work centers around environmental topics. She welcomes commissioned work on any subject from photos.
