VAM Professional Development

When:  Starts February 6, 2014

Where: St. Cloud, MN

Visual Arts Minnesota is offering a unique opportunity for artists to work with a local design company to work on branding and web design.

A workshop is planned for Thursday evenings, 6-8pm, beginning February 6th, 2014. This 6-week workshop will be taught by Jon Ruprecht, owner of Noch Design Group of St. Cloud. Artists will learn how to set up an artist website. Presenters will also talk about social media, blogging and other issues of interest to artists.

Early registration is suggested, so artists are prepared with proper images of their work, making the creation of the site a smooth process. There is a $100 fee for the workshops. Sign up/more information here.

As a separate addition to the class, they are offering a field trip bus shuttle down to the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts. A good opportunity to go with some friends to see all the incredible art on display, have some lunch, and not have to worry about driving in the cities. Art Websites – Training and Website Design

CMW Members can now enjoy a special rate on design and development of their own Artist website from a fellow artist. If you need a complete artist website made for you, social media help, or just help starting your own artist website that you will update, contact CMW member Shelly Leitheiser  (Leitworks Studio).  She has been designing websites since the 1990s, and specializes in art and artist websites.  Shelly offers discounted rates for CMW members, with website designs from the simplest, to the more complex and self-hosted.
