September 14, 2015 CMW All Member Meeting

The CMW Annual Dinner meeting date is coming soon. All members are encouraged to attend and spread the word to other members. In addition, please feel free to invite anyone who may be interested in joining and want to see what CMW is all about. It’s great fun to greet, meet and see other artists who share an interest in painting and art.

The delicious meal is catered by Henri’s Catering of Foley and only costs $10 – a bargain! Coffee, and wine are being provided by CMW. Also feel free to bring anything else to drink as you wish.

* Remember the Silent Auction which is always fun and enjoyable. Please donate and recycle those items you no longer need and might be of use or interest to others. A Gerry Korte matted print (measures 18″ x 29″) titled “Lake George Skating Party” has been donated for this event.

Directions: From the merge of Highways 15 and 10 , take Highway 10 West(which heads north) and go about 4 miles until you come to mile marker 169. Turn (L) on County 79. Go west about a block and turn (L) into the parking lot for Watab Town Hall.

CMW Annual Dinner Invitation 2015

The 2014 Annual Member dinner meeting was a great success held at Watab Hall.  Guest speakers were Melissa Gohman from the Paramount Visual Arts Center and Jennifer Penzkover, St. Cloud Arts Commission Coordinator.
Melissa Gohman reported that CMW and the Paramount Visual Arts Center have agreed to a collaborative arrangement which is very conducive to promotion of both organizations.  One exciting announcement was that the CMW annual meetings and paint ins will be held at the Paramount art studios beginning January 2015.
Jennifer Penzkover informed the group about a variety of venues open to CMW to exhibit their work and encouraged members to participate.  The next event will be the Rivers Edge Convention Center exhibit.

gave an overview of CMW’s current status and of future direction with many exhibit and educational opportunities and education in the future.  The 2015 calendar was distributed and is in constant flux.  It is an exciting time for CMW to grow in new ways.

The meeting ended with a silent auction where a wide variety of items were sold.  Proceeds go toward CMW activities in the ongoing effort to keep member costs in line.

The CMW All Member meeting is Monday, September 10, 2014 at 5:30 pm at Watab Town Hall 4 miles north on Highway 10.  Directions are as follows:       

From the merge of Highways 15 and 10, go north about 4 miles.  Watch for mile marker 169 and take the next left turn onto Cty 79. Go down one long block and take a left into the Town Hall parking lot. New folks will have the opportunity to join (and are welcome) and members may renew their memberships for 2015.  Everyone will have the opportunity to dine, network and share.  The meal will be catered and beverages will also be available.

A Silent Auction consisting of art supplies, educational materials, gently used digital and print resources and miscellaneous items donated by members will begin at 5:30 pm and conclude at 7:30 pm. Items will go to the highest bidder.   Proceeds enhance the CMW treasury. If you wish to donate items for the auction, please bring them by 5:15 pm to be inventoried and displayed.

One of the main activities at this event is a presentation by the President to include key topics for change, future CMW planning, Board changes,  membership and financial reports,   Members are asked to bring ideas for consideration and feedback regarding CMW events, activities and processes .
