Following is a list of some CMW Artist Opportunities :
Kerry Kupferschmidt is having a show at the Spice of Life Tea Shop, downtown St. Cloud, which starts April 18th and will continue until June 28. Kerry says, “I have several watercolors for sale and a few oil paintings as well. It is their 8th anniversary this year, so they have special sales this year. I’ll be there for a demo during the summer Art Crawl in June”. Plan to stop by to support Kerry and have a cup of tea!
Kerry Kupferschmidt also shared at our April meeting this opportunity for CMW artists: There is still time to register and show your art at the annual Northstar Watermedia Society Artists’ Market show May 2nd & 3rd! Deadline is April 24th. Location is the Fine Arts Building at the State Fairgrounds. All the important info is on their website, including a FAQ. Northstar Watermedia Society at: http://northstarwatermedia.com/ pick the far-right tab, Artists’ Market.
Our Co-President Diane Runberg shares this from Erika Powers, GRA Executive Director, Little Falls:
Subject: Summer Opportunity
I wanted to reach out to see if anyone in the CMW group would be interested in volunteering as an artist for an event with Great River Arts and Pine Grove Zoo this summer. Saturday, August 5th has been chosen for the date of the Plein Air Painting event. Artists are invited to paint/draw at the zoo, animals and landscapes, from 11-2pm and interact with zoo visitors. Artwork can be sold that is made during the event at the zoo or it can be brought to GRA and sold at the reception to follow from 4-6pm. Artists may arrive early to set up for the event at the zoo. Tables will be provided by Pine Grove Zoo if you need some. Following the painting at the zoo Great River Arts will be hosting an artist reception from 4-6pm. This will allow us some time to get artworks set up after the zoo event if you wish to have them on display during the reception.
If you have any questions or would like to participate in this event, please let me know. Also, if you know of anyone who might be interested in this opportunity, please feel free to pass along the information and have them contact me. Hope you have a great weekend!

Check out the Website above for Great River Art in Little Falls. There are lots of activities going on there, classes, shows, receptions, etc. This is a great place to be inspired, to learn, and support other artists.
Remember to check out CMW’s show at Good Shepherd going through MAY 31st.
CMW’s Whitney show drop off is April 28th 1-3 pm and the show will be up through June 30th.
CMW will be participating in the St. Cloud Art Crawl-downtown on June 16th. Two members are needed to volunteer to demo for this event. The volunteers demo and may sell their work at this event.
Stay tuned for the Munsinger “Art in the Garden” event (Thursday, July 20th) and Millstream Art Show, (Sunday, August 27th). Artists who sign up need to be prepared to work a shift that day. Also because of limited space, only water based art (experience suggests for the most part, not exclusively, but smaller and less expensive art …under $50….sells the best) and cards can be sold. More information will follow.
Don’t forget our monthly meetings with demos this May 8 (demo by James Turner) and June 12 (demo by Susan Frame) 6 pm at the Paramount in the lower level…
Recently Co-President Arlette Twedt e-mailed all members with our calendar of events through August. You may also find the events on CMW’s website under the “Calendar” tab or “Up Next” tab.
